Very readable and full of great insight.

Excellent read on eschatology! Finally, if you’ve ever doubted the reliability of many of the popular end-time books in your local Christian bookstore, then you should definitely check out the balanced exegesis of Anthony Hoekema. Antyony of the better eschatology works out there.
Chapter 16 serves as a solid representation of amillennial interpretation of the millennium by looking at the text itself.

Hoekema rejects soul sleep. Of course the millennium is not the real issue but rather what is expected to happen between the first and second comings. Hoekema certainly approaches things from a Reformed, amillenial perspective but he is charitable towards those of differing viewpoints th thorough in critique. And when the aspects of future eschatology are taken futrue, they are rooted firmly in Scripture and accurately represent the Reformed understanding of eschatology.
